Buckeye Cam Long Range Wireless Devices

The Buckeye Cam range of wireless devices are manufactured in the US and are used around the globe to create wireless networks (separate to the mobile network) to meet users variety of remote monitoring/image capture and basic remote control activity needs. Devices where originally developed for security applications but quickly found use in ecological/wildlife research applications. They are now finding use in pest animal control applications.

Using the X80 series range of devices from Buckeye Cam we have brought together the best of both sets of technology to extend the JAGER PRO M.I.N.E.™ Trapping System for use in areas without mobile coverage - something of a must for Australia.

The Buckeye Cam adapted variation of the M.I.N.E.™ Trapping System provides an extremely versatile solution to trapping in an area without mobile coverage or in areas with patchy coverage. Now you can have all the benefits of M.I.N.E.™ Trapping System without being tied to a mobile network.

Key features include:

  • Built around the use of the Buckeye Cam X80 Series long range wireless camera and the X-Series Network Manager software interface.
  • Is completely scalable and can be expanded as needed.
  • Allows for a high degree of flexibility in coupling devices in a very straightforward manner to create site specific trap and communication set ups.
  • Wireless networks created can be standalone (with no ongoing costs) or bridged with the Telstra mobile network with the use of the CellBase. For the latter multiple X80 cameras are routed through a single SIM - no need for multiple SIMs.
  • Additional subscription options available from Buckeye Cam for web based photo galleries (LiveCam) and a mobile based application to allow network configuration and trap triggering on the go.
