US based feral hog hunting specialists JAGER PRO conducted three years of research and filmed 500+ hours of video to test multiple trapping methods before designing and perfecting their M.I.N.E.™ Feral Pig Trapping System – now available in Australia exclusively from Yarramine Environmental.
Using a standard configuration developed to target pigs, the M.I.N.E.™ Trap consists of a 10m diameter corral (circular) trap with a 2.4m wide telemetrically triggered drop down gate. Coupled with an automatic casting spin feeder, the system is designed to trap a complete sounder quickly and easily with minimal fuss.
When utilised with JAGER PRO's M.I.N.E.™ Camera (sold separately), the gate on the trapping system can be triggered via SMS from anywhere in the world provided you have mobile coverage. You are able to communicate with the M.I.N.E.™ Camera by text messaging different codes to the camera's phone number. These different codes tell the camera what to do and the camera will respond back with text messages.
These codes can tell the camera to: drop the trap gate, take a photo now and send it to you, check the signal strength, check the battery level, add or delete recipients, and many more functions.
The system also makes use of a second camera. The JAGER PRO I.C.E.™ Camera can perform all the same functions as the M.I.N.E.™ Camera except for being able to drop the trap gate. The I.C.E.™ Camera is used as a surveillance camera when pre-feeding an area as well as an extra camera on the trap enclosure to provide an added angle to count pigs inside the trap enclosure, and view the outside of the enclosure when trapping. The latter allows trappers to see if there are any pigs outside the enclosure before deciding to drop the trap gate. Both the M.I.N.E.™ and I.C.E.™ Cameras require SIM cards to connect to the mobile network and to send text messages and emails.

The JAGER PRO M.I.N.E.™ Feral Pig Trapping System is rapidly becoming the favoured choice by state government and local government agencies, professional trappers, farmers and conservation groups to tackle their pig problems.
We have adapted the M.I.N.E.™ Gate to target all deer species in Australia, and are currently working on a wild dog version and swing gate versions of the system targeting horses and cattle.
The above photo shows a double gate set up in the US utilising a standard sized trap enclosure. A single M.I.N.E.™ Camera, with a single command sent by the user, was used to simultaneously trigger both gates at once for a synchronous drop.
